Hi! My name is Marlena.
I am an tattooer and illustrator focused on connection: with the subject, the client, the page, the practice. I prefer to work with my hand — both on paper and skin.
I think an important part of tattooing, especially as a trans artist, is creating something that really feels like it belongs to my client. Each piece is unique, and my favorites always feel like a collaboration. Hearing that my tattoos make people feel more at home in their bodies is the greatest honor.
My practice is trauma informed, inclusive, and open. It's always my intention to create an experience that feels, comfortable, safe and pleasant.
To tattoo is to connect with both the receiver (of the tattoo) and the subject in a unique and meaningful way. I'm so grateful I get to work with wonderful people making wonderful things.
